We are stoked to see our community adjusting to a new normal after the recent crises and our team has once again hit the ground running to promote our beautiful destination. Read a little about what we’ve been up to below.
Gold And Silver Adrian Award Winners
Visit Ventura is honored to receive gold and silver awards from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) in the 61st annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition. Learn more here.

Bringing Ventura to San Diego and San Francisco Travel and Adventure Shows
Visit Ventura, in partnership with Downtown Ventura Partners, Island Packers, Ventura Harbor, and Ventura Transit, gathered over 850 leads at leisure travel shows in San Diego and San Francisco.
Bringing Ventura to Salt Lake City, Utah
Visit Ventura staff attended the Go West Summitt on behalf of Ventura County Coast, meeting with top international tour operators specific to selling the Western states.
Recent Press and Industry Familiarity Trips
Visit Ventura partnered with Visit California to host a journalist with Texas Lifestyle Magazine in January. She enjoyed visiting downtown, Ventura Harbor, and the Channel Islands. She has since published “Plan your vacation to California’s Channel Islands” and will be publishing a second article soon. Ventura County Coast also hosted a journalist from Austin Food Magazine who published “20 Fun & Delicious Reasons to Visit Ventura County” after his visit in January. Visit Ventura also partnered with Visit California Mexico to host three travel agents from Mexico City. They enjoyed visiting downtown and the harbor, and getting to attend the Thomas Fire Benefit Festival.
Bringing Ventura to Mexico
Mexico is California’s largest tourism market by far with over 7,000,000 visitors per year and growing, and it is four times greater than any other family-driven market. Visit Ventura staff is excited to be participating in Visit California’s Mexico Media Mission, meeting with journalists and influencers in Mexico City and sharing all Ventura has to offer.
